Cape Coral and Fort Myers is a runner up for Walmart's ending hunger campaign

In April, The Walmart Foundation was running a Facebook campaign to end hunger for communities all over the United States. $2 billion dollars will be donated for the next three years to help communities facing the challenges of hunger to have meals for anyone in need. This is so gracious of Walmart and to read more about their help please click here. One community in Youngstown-Warren, Ohio area won $1 million dollars. The Donate4kidz Foundation has been thinking of programs in need and has been devising a plan if we are chosen to disperse food into the communities via organizations, our own programs; including emergency food for families and children in foster care, emergency based request, and back packs filled with weekend food for school aged children on an emergency basis. We intend to do our best to make the most of Walmart's gift to us and our community. Hunger is very prevelant in Cape Coral, Florida

You may not realize this but hunger is an everyday face on a child you may know. Many children are sufferring right under our noses and we don't even realize it. There will always be some form of "World Hunger" but we are striving to lesson the Impact in neighborhoods close to us and what better place than in our own city of Cape Coral, Florida

We would like to start a "Cape Coral Community Garden" and bring volunteers in to help maintain it.

We need land donated to us or perhaps the city will allow us to utilize some of their land. We will need tools, soil, seeds, organic fertilizer, machinery, and a few gardners to get us up and running.

But most of all

WE Need You.......Volunteers to help fulfill our dreams of a self sustaining garden.

We want to learn from this local Cape Coral community garden and then bring this Information to Impoverished Orphanages in Central America.

Our hope is to help teach Orphanages needing fresh fruits and Vegetables to become more self sustaining and therefore provide viable healthy food. .

Our goal is to provide some food to local outreach programs and to sell fruits and Veggies to keep us self sustainable. If you have any experience please help us help other by volunteering your time, education, and resources. Thank You.

Christmas starts with the Angels of Hope in Cape Coral and Fort Myers.

Please consider giving the gift of love this season. Many of our local Cape Coral and Fort Myers Families are in dire need. To add insult to injury there was a bill denied to extend the unemployment benefits during this holiday season leaving many families with out any income. These families are already struggling to find jobs and provide food and shelter for their families and now at Christmas will be left without food, electric, or gas miney to find work.
Please consider being an Angel Of Hope and help us help those who have been struck with this difficult time in their life.

Children will be more than happy to exchange their presents for food this year and that is really unfortunate. Children should be able to enjoy the one day of presents, cookies, and joyful homes singing praises of Jesus's brith.
It is hard to beleive in faith unless the faithful step in to reach out to those who need us.

We know times are tough for everyone right now and sometimes just an extra $25.00 gives someone the gas they need to get to work. In the USA food is more readily available but milk, eggs, meat, and items like that are not normally given out and those items are needed. Usually there is a criteria of income and a three to six month waiting period before you can get help again from the area food banks. The Donate4kidz Foundation is not a food bank in Cape Coral but we do help hundreds of families that need an additional hand at very desperate times. The "Angels of Hope" program helps those that need it the most and in desperate times. I have called around a few of the food banks and asked what the criteria was and income needed to be eligible for programs and was surprised to find out that most have a return policy. Meaning people can only go once in a three month period. Granted there are some food banks that do not adhere to the strict guidelines and I understand the reasonbut the problem facing us is still there. People really need more help now and next week, next month. Hunger does not wait for guidelines and rules. So that is why The Donate4kidz Foundation is starting a new Angels of Hope program. There are many things needed like gas cards, food, clothes, shoes, utility help and rental assistance needed. The Holidays are also coming and Turkey dinners and Toys are always nice to have for families that cannot afford these items. "We all need help at different times in our lives" and perhaps you are blessed with a good job and can help others who have lost theirs. Our goal here at the Donate4kidz Foundation is to help children by helping their parents too. Please send me an email at myrealtorkathryn@gmail.com and sign up to receive or sponsor. Those who receive donations have to commit to returning the donation within a three month period unless financially unable. It is the honor system in which we hope those who honor will outweight those who do not. That returned donation will be available then to be lent out again to another family. We help those who cannot go to the food banks again (The Interim period). We also will use our discretion on repeat donations and see to it your gifts of love are respected and needed. We will be taking ongoing donations of clothing, food, childrens items, teen items, and anything that someone else could use and be grateful to have. We will be accepting gift cards such as from; Publix, Payless, Walmart,and Exxon starting from $10.00-$100.00. Special sponsored Items such as utility help will be accepted by making a donation on our website and specifically noting Utility Help. We will screen and make sure the money goes directly to the utility company not the person. Please let me know if you would like to volunteer to help or become a sponsor. The Donate4kidz Foundation is helping the community by becoming a support system for other local non-profit organization. Kathryn Blackman the executive director says that "Help is needed everywhere and we must all work to gether to support one another." "Our goal is to convey to the community that we are hear to help!"
This past month we have helped the Sports Build Coalition package and number many items to go to Haiti. These items have to go through customs and the detailing has got to be planned. Our community in Cape Coral, Florida really came through to help and we now have a full container on its way to a Haiti orphanage on Tuesday. It is very exciting to know these children will have neww clothes, toys , sports equipment, and etc. If you would like to get involved in helping out local community fundraisers please visit the www.donate4kidz.com website and see what we are up to. Poverty is everywhere! What are you going to do to stop it!

Changing the way we are in life is not always easy. Last year I started this foundation to help those young children and families in poverty stricken areas to get the schools supplies and uniforms neccessary to help them achieve successful school year and wanted to teach sustainability to our youth. I was changed for the better after seeing the devestation that took place when the the Earthquake hit in Haiti. School supplies are important but the forefront of all my intentions changed and a new perspective set in. I have concentrated my focus to just feeding the hungry families and children in my area and raising money to build orphanages in Haiti. I live in Cape Coral, Florida and while i do not see alot of poverty it does exist. I want to make a difference to to the lives of young children by bringing them hope and giving them the tools they need to survive in life. I want to teach our children and young families how to be more productive, self sustaining individuals by example. I have chosen to forego the starbucks, the movies, the dinners out, and feel really good about it. I personally donated that money to feed families that called on me for help. I am awaiting a 501c3 status and soon i will be able to apply for grants but until then i have families that need your support. Many of us say one day i will do something that means something but what really means anythring if you do not do it. Help someone in your neighborhood with friendship, guidance, love, and an occasional ride to the store. teach our youth to be respectful, respectable, and giving human beings, and give what you can to make another persons life more enriched. We had such a great time at the comedy4 a cause benefit at the Laugh-In Comedy Cafe in Fort Myers, Florida. I want to personally thank the comedians Rene Bray and Jonny Mac for the best show in town. I also want to thank Joe Galanis who is the owner of the Laugh-In Comedy cafe for his graciousness of letting us use his club and staff for this event.

Wow i recently watched a DVD that was by Joyce Myers. It was part 4 of a series called the Revolution and I really enjoyed it. I cried , I laughed and I remembered God and the impact he has over us and our choices. I never preach to anyone unless it is about a worthy cause and I beleive loving others is. It is such an inspirational video that reminds us how lucky we ar to live in a world that provides us with so much comfort. Having a bed, medicine, foos, and shoes are all comforts that we take advantage of. I used to go to Starbucks and buy a $4.50 Mocha but no longer do i do this daily. If i go now it is a treat......I really encourage you to google the love revolution by joyce myers and watch her video's on Youtube.....And do something nice for someone today!.....
